Lynne B. Carr

Oil paintings that are started on location and finished in the studio.

Her work has been displayed and exhibited in Southern Maine since 1975.  Lynne began her career with fairs and outdoor art sidewalk shows, eventually displaying work in her own gallery from 1980 through 1990. After the 90’s most shows and exhibits were juried shows at several galleries and local benefits. Commissions are welcome, let’s talk about what you would like to have in your collection for years to come.

Lynne has many awards and a long standing local presence from (River Tree Arts, York Art Association, and Solo Exhibitions in Portland, Conservation donations and auctions).  I love the outdoors, trying to capture a particular time and light.  My passions for endangered wildlife, land conservation and environmental issues, and Maine cancer are very important to me.  My work can be seen at my studio called "Lynne's Lookout" by appointment or when the open flag is waiving.  I exhibit at the Framer's Workshop Gallery in Wells, Maine, and My own Studio Show each August at Lynne's Lookout annually. The Annual Kennebunk River Club Art Show is always the second weekend in August. I always look forward to a great show at this wonderful venue. I have participated in this show since 1981, and always find it to be full of creative spirit. This year it is August 8th and 9th. Happy to be invited again. Open to the public on the 9th 10-5pm, it is a beautiful place to view artwork. See you there.
